ARC Projects

ARC Projects has been selected as an ABA100® Winner for Service Excellence in The Australian Business Awards 2022. The Australian Business Award for Service Excellence [CSX] recognises organisations that have successfully implemented initiatives that demonstrate leadership and commitment to customer service excellence.

ARC Projects is a medium sized construction company specialising in insurance building repairs and restoration. This organisation has grown considerable since inception in 2014 and is projected to exceed $100 million turnover this financial year. ARC Projects operates across the eastern states as well as the ACT, Tasmania, and South Australia, and has over 160 employees.

The foundations of ARC Projects are family values, and the current two directors are the same two that formed the business twelve years ago, Jordan Powell and Ben McArthur. The company retains a flat management structure and incentivises its’ people by offering profit-share for hard work and dedication.ARC Projects invest in their people and value two-way communication. The organisation believes that their people are their strength, and they deliver the superior customer service that ARC Projects pride themselves on.

ARC Projects have based their business upon customer satisfaction, and everything they do goes towards delivering on this promise. They go over and above what is required, because they understand that profit comes with happy and satisfied customers. Customers to ARC Projects are the insurance companies who engage them as well as the Insureds’ whose property they restore and repair. While the insurance companies have minimum KPI’s, ARC projects impose tougher ones themselves, so they excess expectations and provide superior customer service.

To provide the excellent customer servicer takes buy-in from all the people at ARC Projects. It also takes good systems (of which ARC Projects has created their own), and regular training of all staff and sub-contractors. ARC Projects ticks off all these boxes, as well as forming strong relationships with the claims managers at the insurance companies.

Lastly, ARC Projects when working in a community becomes part of that community. An example of this is the Portarlington Football Netball Club during Covid-19. This club in the small Victorian town on the Bellarine peninsula was going under as they had little income and sports was shut down. ARC Projects was completing a large job in town and found this out, and decided it was imperative to support the grassroots club and assisted them in continuing to operate.
