Clicks IT Recruitment

Clicks IT Recruitment has been selected as an ABA100® Winner for Service Excellence in The Australian Business Awards 2022. The Australian Business Award for Service Excellence [CSX] recognises organisations that have successfully implemented initiatives that demonstrate leadership and commitment to customer service excellence.

“This win is very important to us. Clicks’ vision is to be Australia’s favourite IT recruiter in our chosen markets. Service Excellence is a key pillar of our strategy for achieving our vision, and our contractor workforce is our lifeblood. Clicks pioneered the Contractor Care function nearly 20 years ago. We save our clients millions each year in recruitment and training costs by providing exceptional care and extension management services. Our contractors are highly engaged and trust us with their careers.”

Tamara Ryf – CEO, Clicks IT Recruitment

Clicks IT Recruitment (Clicks) is a specialist IT Recruitment Company with offices across Australia. Clicks has been providing contract and permanent recruitment services to leading government and commercial organisations since 1990.

Clicks’ vision is to be Australia’s favourite IT recruiter. To achieve this, Clicks has implemented a structured, measurable strategic planning process that takes into consideration the needs and wellbeing of Clicks’ clients, candidates, and staff. Clicks recognises that forming relationships with candidates when they are looking for work and after they’ve been placed into roles is critical to its commercial success and achieving its vision. As a result, Clicks developed an ever- evolving Contractor Care & Wellness Matters Program. This program supports its key external stakeholders – clients, candidates and contractors – through leveraging smart systems and processes, a leading reward and recognition scheme, effective internal support functions, and industry partnerships.

Taking inspiration from HumAIn, Clicks’ proprietary recruitment methodology – which focuses on the intersection of smart technology and human reasoning, creativity, and compassion – the Clicks Contractor Care program balances the use of smart systems with a high-touch concierge service. In 2018 Clicks initiated an enterprise systems transformation project. Since then, it has deployed over 10 new technology platforms, including a CRM, ATS, semantic search, reference/probity checking, and automation tools, resulting in increased efficiency, productivity, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Clicks’ work is underpinned by a focus on increasing diversity and inclusion within IT teams and promoting wellness in Australian workplaces. Clicks believes diverse and inclusive teams have greater workplace culture, engagement, and increased profit. This stems from Clicks’ experience in the staffing and recruitment industry, supporting research, and assessment of its own workplace. Clicks’ workforce is comprised of mostly females and 53% of leadership positions are held by women. Cultural diversity is well-represented within Clicks, having employees who originate from 15 different countries. COVID-19 further highlighted the importance for organisations to support wellbeing at work. Clicks’ wellness program encompasses physical, mental, and financial wellness.

The Contactor Care program includes a detailed post-placement contact schedule. Contractors are contacted from their first day of working until their last. Throughout their assignment, regular contact is maintained and access to a range of benefits, rewards and recognition programs and events are offered. At the end of a contract assignment Clicks conducts an exit interview. The interview allows Clicks to obtain feedback about its contractors’ experiences. Any opportunities identified for improvement in service and communication are incorporated into enhancing the program further. Clicks also supports its contractors in securing their next assignment.

Clicks’ Contractor Care Program is an initiative of which all members of the Clicks workforce are a part. Each contractor has a single point of contact, while being serviced by multiple cross-functional teams including Recruitment, Marketing, Administration, Finance and Payments. At the time that Clicks’ Contractor Care program was implemented, there were around 200 contractors, and a single Contractor Care Manager. Today, Clicks has 800 contractors and four people managing the Contractor Care program nationally.

The feedback the Contractor Care team receives in person and via the annual contractor survey is overwhelmingly positive. Clicks’ ability to establish long-term relationships with candidates has supported its success with clients. Clicks has worked with forty-six of its top fifty clients for 5 years or more. Clicks is also on over 80 Preferred Supplier Agreements, gaining the trust of Australia’s favourite employers to find them great people.
