Clicks IT Recruitment

Clicks IT Recruitment has been selected as an ABA100® Winner for Service Excellence in The Australian Business Awards 2025. The Australian Business Award for Service Excellence [CSX] recognises organisations that have successfully implemented initiatives that demonstrate leadership and commitment to customer service excellence.

Clicks is a leading specialist in Technology & Digital recruitment with offices across Australia. Since 1990, Clicks has been delivering permanent and contract hiring solutions to leading government and commercial organisations, contributing to successful tech projects across all industries and sectors.

Clicks’ vision: to be Australia’s favourite IT recruiter. To achieve this, they have implemented a structured and measurable strategic planning process that considers the needs and wellbeing of clients, candidates, and staff. Clicks recognises that forming relationships with candidates when they are looking for work, and after they’ve been placed into roles, is critical to commercial success and achieving this vision.

To practice this, Clicks developed an ever-evolving Contractor Care & Wellness Matters Program. The program supports its key external stakeholders – clients, candidates and contractors – through leveraging smart systems and processes, a leading reward and recognition scheme, effective internal support functions, and industry partnerships.

The Clicks Contractor Care program leverages its proprietary recruitment methodology – HumAInTM. By focusing on the intersection of smart technology and human reasoning, creativity, and compassion, Clicks balances the use of smart systems with a high-touch concierge service.

Clicks utilises a gold-standard technology stack to support its objectives. This stack includes Bullhorn, the world’s leading CRM, including AI and LLMs to support discrete aspects of the recruitment process; the Broadbean ATS; Daxtra’s semantic search tool; reference/probity checking via WorkPro and Referoo; Bullhorn Automation; and Bullhorn Analytics for real-time insights and reporting; Kyloe for seamless integration; and LinkedIn’s suite of Talent Insights, Recruiter, and Job Slots products. This carefully crafted tech stack spans the whole of the recruitment lifecycle, resulting in increased efficiency, productivity, accuracy, customer satisfaction and candidate experience.

Clicks’ staff are supported by ELMO, a leading HRIS and LMS, to guarantee optimal attraction, reward, and retention of the best recruiters in the market.

Clicks’ work is underpinned by a focus on elevating diversity and inclusion within IT teams and promoting wellness in Australian workplaces. This stems from Clicks’ own experience in the staffing and recruitment industry, supporting research and assessment of its own workplace.

The Clicks Contractor Care program also encompasses physical, mental, and financial wellness. Clicks conducts annual Wellness Surveys to refine and continually improve its offering.

Clicks pioneered the dedicated Contractor Care function over twenty years ago. Clicks’ team of consultants have driven the evolution of this function to ensure it continues to provide relevant support, advice, recognition, benefits, and engagement with Clicks’ labour hire workforce.

The Contractor Care team provides Clicks’ contractors with personalised services, ensuring an efficient and thorough onboarding experience, regular communication throughout the duration of their engagement, accurate and timely payment of timesheets, acknowledgement of birthdays and Clicks anniversaries, invitations to professional development and social events throughout the year, resolution of superannuation queries, facilitation of Clicks’ structured performance and feedback program, including formal six-monthly performance reviews, and redeployment into new opportunities upon the completion of their assignment.

All contractors have access to Clicks’ contractor benefits program, where preferred specialist providers offer a range of discounted corporate services. This has been proven to increase contractor retention, resulting in significant financial savings for clients.

Clicks’ Contractor Care program, which is also provided to payroll-only contractors, is what sets Clicks apart. The commercial benefits of providing contractors with this level of service deliver material increases in retention and engagement levels, as well as the likelihood of a contractor agreeing to extend when asked. It also reduces the risk of contractors being poached by other agencies and identifies and resolves issues before they become problems.

This results in tangible cost savings on re-hiring and re-training, as well as risk management with projects being seen to completion with the same team. Clicks’ efforts over the years can easily be translated into cost savings in the millions for its volume accounts.

All members of the Clicks workforce are a part of the initiative. Each contractor has a single point of contact, while being serviced by multiple cross-functional teams, including Recruitment, Marketing, Administration, Finance and Payments. At the time the Clicks Contractor Care program was implemented, there were approximately 200 contractors and a single Contractor Care Manager. Today, Clicks has approximately 500 contractors and four people managing the Contractor Care program nationally.

Feedback via the annual contractor survey and in-person interactions with the Contractor Care team is enduringly and overwhelmingly positive. Clicks’ ability to establish long-term relationships with candidates has supported their success with clients.
